Integration of Automated Testing into DevOps
Nowadays, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) are essential parts of software development lifecycle and are considered imperative to successful software releases. The key challenge for most organizations is the inability to successfully execute and establish Continuous Deployment throughout their process. In order to implement Continuous Deployment, it is necessary to treat DevOps as a culture and mindset, rather than specific teams in businesses. In this session, Arash will demonstrate how to overcome this challenge by integrating test automation into worlds of DevOps and agile. In addition, this session will explain how implementation of QA and DevOps toolchains can enhance both testing and deployment productivities throughout release processes. Arash will introduce best automation tools, along with toolchains, for web, mobile, and API testing. Moreover, Arash will finish the presentation by providing best practices to illustrate how to implement a DevOps culture in organizations and how to maintain it to ensure a successful execution of Continuous Deployment can be established.
Arash Taheri is a technical leader with over 18 years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, team leadership, and project management. He is currently the director of quality assurance and quality engineering at Central 1. With extensive experience in software development lifecycle and proficiency in agile methodologies, Arash deeply understands the technical and non-technical challenges of continuous integration and continuous delivery and knows how to integrate test automation into DevOps to speed up production releases with fewer number of incidents. Arash’s engineering background, combined with his MBA degree and PMP certification, empowers him to take a project management approach to delivering releases that are in scope, on schedule, and with high quality.
